SOCOM 4 : Coming to the PS3
Plain and simple, playing SOCOM on PS2 was so, so much fun. I can remember that is where I got my first taste of warfare online. It seems like it was just yesterday that I had purchased the dial up modem for my PS2. Ah, dial up. Good riddance.
Making it official, Sony has announced that SOCOM 4 will be arriving on the PS3 this fall. You can just imagine the gaming goodness that will arrive with it. I remember that this game had the physics nailed down. Meaning, it was a pleasure to pump Marines and enemies full of lead. I also recall some pretty cool dances that you could trigger once your team won the match. I remember seeing a few characters doing the Michael Jackson spin. Classic.
I’m eager to see this game deliver on the PS3. We all know the PS3 needs titles and needs them now. Fall might just be too far off.

As much as the enemies and gameplay feel a little choppy this game was so much fun on the PS2.
