The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom
Now here is a title for the Xbox Live Arcade that will have gamers appreciating every thing that makes this original. The Misadventures of PB. Winterbottom, thanks to The Odd Gentlemen will be available for our downloading pleasures in early 2010. I would definitely keep an eye out for this title as story, quick play and puzzle will go hand in hand to bring you a unique experience.
With a feel from the 1920′s and paradox puzzles you will have plenty of play time with this title. Looking much like a silent film from the past the main character Mr P.B. Winterbottom seems to have an obsession with scrumptious Cherry Chronoberry pie but than again who wouldn’t.
Simple as it sounds having his pie has brought him much more than just a satisfying taste. Now having the ability to clone himself(more than once) and shatter the rules of time he now has many different tricks to claim his Pie. Maybe not so easy, the following levels will become harder and will bring you challenge as well as fun in dark alleys and on tall buildings. All to set the enviroment for the game which seems they have done really well.
As stated on their website the following also tickles our curiosity.
- Play the hero and Villain at the same time
- Defy Death by using Sacrificing Past Selves so Future Selves can survive (This sounds really original and will probably make for good thinking)
- Clone Yourself to create Winterbottom Ladders, Bridges, and Catapults. (Can’t help but remember Abe’s Oddysee)
If your curious as to how the developers came up with such an idea you can visit their official website The Odd Gentlemen. Supporting this title might not be a bad idea since there is plenty of room for games of this genre. We are awaiting its release and are curious as well, we can’t wait.
