Left 4 Dead 2 | Preview
Since the release of Left 4 Dead, the title zombie lovers went absolute crazy for, we are now anxiously awaiting the release date for Left 4 Dead 2. We literally cannot wait until it’s release to get our palms on a copy. Valve, over the last couple of months has revealed a bit more and a bit more of several different features which might make this title a must buy. When Left 4 Dead was released there was a lot of speculation as to how it would play and how fun it was even going to be with the hordes of zombie’s literally engulfing the screen. It proved to be one hell of a zombie killing game with 40 awards including X-Play’s “Best of 2008 Awards” for best multiplayer game and best shooter. Yes, I know that is a lot of awards but when we finally got our copy there were several things to love about the game, you can check back on our review for more info on the zombie apocalypse.

Here are some details on the upcoming Left 4 Dead 2:
- AI Director 2.0 will help change the weather and pathways you take ever time you play. You will remember this from Left 4 Dead making the game have plenty of replay value. Also changing the effects, hordes of enemies, and sounds depending on how you play. This should make every zombie run a fresh new take.
- More than 20 weapons and items will be to your advantage against the zombie population. Let’s not forget the melee weapons we are hoping to see in action such as the chainsaw, axe, and my personal favorite…the frying pan, come get some!
- Newly added survivors, fresh new story, new dialogue. Be ready.
- There will be five new expansive campaign for co-op play, versus, and the survival game modes. It’s good to see they are improving what made this game great.
- You will be able to play as infected against just like in original Left 4 Dead but there will be new infected as well and that’s not to mention the “uncommon common” zombies which would be just for the campaign you choose.
- Only available for Xbox 360 there will be option for split screen play…so one copy will do it for ya cheap bastards, this is a good thing.
During the Penny Arcade Expo in September, Dark Carnival was the third of the five different playable campaigns to be revealed. Valve also attended the Tokyo Game Show 2009, sending one of there level designers(Kim Swift) to have interviews and tell more about Left 4 Dead 2 and goodies we all just want released already! Next stop would be the Eurogamer Expo taking place on the 30th of October where Valve will tell more about a special all new game mode.
We did come across a Taiwanese website where a couple of campaigns seemed new to us. Unfortunately we cannot read what it says but we thought it was post worthy and it’s cool to see the game appeals to other gamers on other parts of the world.

Cooperative play is a must to survive.

No more bullets? No problem! Get some!
You can expect a full detail reviews of Left 4 Dead 2 when it hits store shelves and digitally through Steam. Since the game is releasing for the PC we know that this might be the better buy from our previous experiences. Anything is possible and lets hope we get the same amount of extras for our Xbox 360 heads. Keep an eye out for the release set for November 17th, Vavle will not disappoint.
