Nintendo gives the Wii a Price Slash

Rumors are rampant that the Wii will be dropping in price next week. The console wars are starting to heat up as the PS3 also received a price cut of its own. The Wii will be cut in price by $50, bringing the new price to $199 from the current $249 price.
This seems to be Nintendo’s reaction to the recent price cuts from Sony and Microsoft, though they’ll likely mention that this has been in the works for quite some time. With all the recent price cuts, it’s going to be an all out war this Christmas season.
