Simple, yet fun. Cooking Dash for the iPhone is a fun, easy (at first), highly addictive game. With creative, bright, dare I say cute visuals, Cooking Dash doesn’t disappoint in any aspect. You play Flo, the waitress that has been left by the chef and expected to manage the diner.
The objective of the game is to feed the mad frenzy of customers that come through the diner. As the customers comes in, you take orders, cook and serve the food. Quickly, before the customer leaves. Score is kept by the money you make from customers that come in and tip. With those dollars you’re able to upgrade your kitchen with the likes of new blenders and stoves to wallpaper and carpet.
You can easily dive in and start taking orders with simplistic gameplay. The touch screen is used to navigate Flo throughout the diner as you go about your dining duties. It’s a game that is easy to dive into and makes great use of the iPhone touch screen. It’s a lot of the little things in this game that makes it fun. Everything from the sizzle of the stove to the expressions on the customers faces make this game quite enjoyable. You’ll find yourself smiling at first until you find yourself playing past midnight trying to pass level 30.
The game also allows you to play music from your iPhone while playing but the sound from the game more than suits the game. The game is addictive as you move through the levels and the customers start cramming in the diner. You cook everything from burgers and fries to dumplings and seaweed. Yum.
Surprisingly, the game doesn’t get old quick. You’ll cook in different diners and various dishes which keeps the game fresh. The gameplay and quick management of the clientele is crucial to progressing into some of the harder levels. Yet, this doesn’t take anything from the game as you’ll find yourself playing for quite some time.
