Kingdom Under Fire II
Here is a title that will be refreshing to most gamers who love RTS or just need a change of genre. Since four different titles of Kingdom Under Fire has been out this will be the first one that will actually be a sequel. Which didn’t really make sense to me, why wait four games to make a sequel? Yet, the developer Blueside feels that they needed time to pick which title of the bunch was worthy enough to become the sequel. With that said, the game takes place 150 years into the future from the original Kingdom Under Fire. Where war with man took place against the vampires and dark elves. This time around there will be a new type of race. Mutants called Encablossians. These new bad asses are raging war all over the land of Bersia where all the battles take place. Like the older games Blueside has managed to keep the gameplay very fast. With different armies and races filling up the screen and mayhem breaking loose. This is what should be expected from this new title.
Blueside Inc. has big plans for this next release to the Xbox 360. It’s not hard to tell that from the screenshots this game is going to look beautiful. The biggest feature about Kingdom Under Fire II will have and is probably the most talked about is how it will play online. Blueside is planning to make it feel just like an MMO, matter of fact they consider it a MMO. We don’t know how well and how big the landscapes will be or if internet play and connection will affect this in any way. Although the sound of players being able to join guilds, factions, gain experience points, and even earn special items does give off the MMO feel. Yes this is a RTS game without a doubt, so it sounds very interesting that you can earn certain items, through one on one matches. Starting to feel that RPG element in there.
We do know the game can with stand all the way up to fifteen on fifteen player matches. I have one word for that “INSANE”. Something else that kind of reminded me of Warcraft III is how most of the action on the battlefield will be channeled through one of several blood hungry generals. The generals all have there own special attacks…I mean very extreme special attacks which can wipe groups and groups of men on the battle field. This is a title that is still being worked on. We may be waiting for it somewhere in 2010. This is still little compared to what the game actually portrays and Blueside is still being tight with information. Soon as we know more we will be updating with more screen shots and videos.
